A Grande Future

A Grande Future

The Houstonian is excited to introduce The Grande Terrace, a stunning new 2,400-square-foot elevated deck designed to enhance our most celebrated event spaces. Nestled between the Grande Ballroom pre-function area and The Manor House, this sophisticated outdoor venue will feature a rustic fireplace and architectural accent lighting, creating an unforgettable setting for both daytime and evening gatherings.

Inspiration

Imagine guests mingling under the stars beside a glowing fire, or a daytime celebration surrounded by nature’s beauty—all just steps from the city’s most iconic ballroom and historic estate. The Grande Terrace is being designed with these moments in mind: to inspire connection, celebration, and timeless memories.
Indoor and Outdoor Experiences

Indoor and Outdoor Experiences

Once complete, The Grande Terrace will serve as a shared amenity for events in both locations—adding a new dimension of elegance and versatility to our offerings. Its thoughtful placement and design will seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor experiences, reflecting the refined Texas elegance that defines The Houstonian.

Construction on The Grande Terrace is scheduled to take place this summer. We understand that transparency is essential, and we want to reassure planners that every measure is being taken to minimize disruption:

  • A 10-foot cedar fence will surround the entire construction site, ensuring privacy and blocking sightlines from the street and The Manor House.
  • Soundproofing panels will be installed on the windows of the Grande Ballroom pre-function area.
  • Acoustic treatments will be added to the double doors leading from the pre-function area to The Manor House to further reduce sound transmission.
  • The heaviest and loudest construction activity (approximately 25%) will take place after hours, helping us maintain a serene atmosphere for all daytime events.

Our team is working closely with designers and contractors to keep the project on schedule and to ensure that The Houstonian continues to provide a premier experience for every guest and event during this period.
