Erika Kaufman, RD, LD
There is no instant miracle formula for good nutrition. As a ballet dancer growing up, Erika Kaufman, RD, LD, witnessed first hand the challenges of rigorous workouts and the detriment of poor nutrition on competitive dancers. Armed by their struggle with bulimia and anorexia, she took her passion for healthcare and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. Following graduation, she completed her registered dietitian certification in addition to a certificate in adult weight management. Erika's focus now includes weight loss and management, disease management, diabetes education, optimal pregnancy nutrition, gestational diabetes, pediatric nutrition (obesity and diabetes), sports nutrition, eating disorders and specialty diets as well as general wellness and healthy eating. With in depth experience in in-patient, out-patient and long term care, she is very excited to join the exceptional fitness team at The Houstonian and looks forward to helping you design and accomplish your individual health goals.
