Audio Visual Technician - Full Time
The Audio Visual Technicians maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Perform all guest contact activities such as assisting with the operation of any equipment and answering client questions in a cordial, efficient and professional manner. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: use of the banquet event order book as a guide for all setups and teardowns, testing all equipment before each function, removal of all equipment at the conclusion of each event. While performing the duties of this job, The Audio Visual Technicians are required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift 50 lbs. and climb a 14’ ladder to hang lights.

Spa Training Manager - Full Time
The Spa Training Manager is directly responsible of training of all new and existing staff members. Regular duties will include updates and maintenance to the created manuals and SOPs, regular service audits and arrangement of secret shopper audits, refresher training for existing staff and training for new staff as needed. The Spa Training Manager will not only train staff personally, but also seek out experts in needed educational areas to hold on-site workshops and seminars to enhance employee satisfaction, productivity, and continued learning.  Some of the specific duties are to: Implement and maintain Trellis Social Media strategy, manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, develop a training strategy for all levels of spa staff, based on the Forbes Five Star Rating system and the Houstonian Way, conduct new hire and recurrent training sessions based on the developed strategy. The preferred skill set will include previous spa experience, previous training, supervisory or management experience, management, organizational and motivational skills, public relations and communication skills, sales experience, especially in product retail, strong skills in Word and Excel and the ability to learn new Spa Software program. The Spa Training Manager must be physically able to perform bending, stooping, and lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.

IT Manager - Full Time
The IT Manager position requires a minimum of 5 years on the job experience and management responsibilities of at least one hundred desktops and 15 Windows servers; A+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certifications preferred. This position is responsible for managing the technology infrastructure that supports all applications and business lines on the Houstonian Campus.  The position will manage and maintain all servers, network and desktop systems and ensure that the infrastructure is secure and operating at the 99.99%.  This position currently has 2 direct reports. 

Group Exercise Instructor - On Call
The Group Exercise Instructor is committed to his/her classes and the organizations Vision, Mission, and Values. Current ACE, AFAA  certifications,  3-5 years of experience capable of teaching most of the classes on the schedule and willing to familiarize himself/herself with new specialty classes.  Delivers a quality and safe class according to The Houstonian Group Exercise Class content guidelines. Follows the departments procedures and systems for, dress guideline, class sign in, class coverage, equipment and studios. Must be able to attend company functions on a regular basis and participate in other organization events.

Yoga Instructor - On Call
The Yoga Instructor position requires 3-5 years of experience teaching yoga classes in a fitness studio environment. Must have excellent communication skills and a track record of growing and successful classes. Must enjoy being part of a team. Flexible availability is important. CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications required.

Pilates Instructor - Part Time
The Pilates Instructor position requires 3 to 5 years of experience in Pilates Instruction in a Group exercise or private setting. Additional requirements include requires current Pilates certification through ACE or AFAA and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Loss Prevention Officer - Full Time and Part Time
The Loss Prevention Officers are responsible for assisting with the protection of property and assets, including employees through responding to fire, medical and other emergencies on campus, in addition to enforcing the policies as directed by management and/or employee handbook.  Physical patrols of the campus buildings, garages and surface lots, also will direct traffic when needed.  Frequent standing, walking, climbing of ladders and stairs kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting and carrying various objects weighing up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to work safely and effectively in outdoor temperatures

Room Service Server - Full Time
The Room Service Server provides a pleasant in-room dining experience for our guests.  Must deliver food and beverage to guests, up-sell, and deliver orders in a consistent manner.  Minimum one year previous Room Service server experience required in Hotel Room Service. Room Service Servers must be 18 years of age; TABC Certification is preferred but not required. Must be physically able to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to pull or push and lift trays up to 30 pounds in order to serve Food and Beverage to the guests.

Arbor Grill Sous Chef - Full Time
The Arbor Grill Sous Chef will train, supervise and work with all kitchen staff in order to prepare, cook and present food according to hotel standards. Implement and maintain operating policies to obtain financial results as dictated by operating budgets. This position requires previous management experience in an upper tiered restaurant and/or hotel. Strong working knowledge on all cooking techniques, butchering, sauces, vinaigrettes and garde manager; strong working knowledge of elevated standards of sanitation; knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc. Must be able to stand and bend for long periods of time, the hours of work varies upon business, must be able to push, pull and lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis.

Fitness Service Agent - Part Time
The Fitness Service Agent provides a positive and enjoyable workout experience for members of The Houstonian Club as well as guests. The Fitness Service Agent will be friendly, helpful and attentive to those working out in the fitness area. Knowledge and interest in Fitness are essential as well as a personal interest in health, fitness, athletics, working out, nutrition or related field. Must be physically able to bend, push, pull and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis, and stand for long periods at a time. This position requires CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.

Arbor Grill Server - Full Time
Arbor Grill Servers assist members and guests by serving food and beverage in an outdoor environment, both under the Arbor Grill and poolside. They are responsible for taking accurate orders, prompt, friendly service. Arbor Grill Servers are responsible for recognizing proper identification for alcoholic beverages, ringing up orders in the POS system, menu knowledge, stocking stations with all necessary supplies and opening and closing duties. Arbor Grill Servers must be 18 years of age with some food and beverage experience; experience as a bartender is a plus. Candidates for this position will be available to work weekends and holidays throughout the Arbor Grill Season. Arbor Grill Servers must be able to lift 30+ pounds, and to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Lifeguard - Full Time, Part Time and On Call
The Lifeguard’s primary role is to ensure the safety of patrons and coworkers. This will be done by constant surveillance of the pools, recognizing and preventing hazardous behaviors, inspecting pool areas for potential problems and hazards and taking appropriate action. Lifeguard’s secondary duties will include, but are not limited to: maintaining pool chemistry logs, cleaning and maintaining the pool areas, assisting coworkers with set up and tear down of a class area, and greeting and assisting members. This position requires extended hours in an outdoor environment. This position requires the moving of pool furniture, hauling equipment used for classes, and lifting boxes or other items located inside the pool areas weighing up to 50 lb. Lifeguards  are required to have valid Lifeguard, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. The minimum age for this position is 17 years of age.
