Spa Guest Services Coordinator - Part Time
This position requires customer service experience, prior hotel, spa or salon reservations experience is preferred. Computer experience with word and excel.  The Guest Service Coordinator has the ability to learn Spa Software program, to speak fluent English, and must possess strong communication skills. This employee should must display a pleasant, professional, and outgoing personality and professional appearance. Must be flexible in work schedule and able to work weekends.

Club Sales Member Service Administrator
The Member Service Administrator acts as a liaison between the members of the Houstonian Club and the Houstonian Club management staff and assists the Director of Membership and Sales Managers with any necessary duties. The Member Service Administrator exhibits exceptional customer service skills dealing with Members and Guests and assists and supports the entire Club Sales team. Physical requirements of this position include having the ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand and walk, stoop, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, move or lift up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding customer service skills.  Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to effectively handle multiple tasks at once.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Goldmine and Abacus are required. 

Makeup Artist - Part Time

Makeup Artists provide consistent professional make up consultations and applications in accordance with spa protocols; maintains knowledge of current makeup trends; understand color symmetry/coordination and the use and effects of different textures (frost, shimmer, etc.); create an image for the guest's needs using different makeup colors, textures and application techniques; properly care for equipment and tools and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.  Makeup Artists will attend all training classes offered upon hire, and follow all aspects of job safety. Makeup Artists must be physically able to perform bending, stooping, and lifting of materials up to 20 pounds. One year of experience is required.


Massage Therapist - Part Time
The Massage Therapist will perform consultations with every client; solicit specific information about any medical conditions that may be impacted by the treatments; advise clients of potential impact of treatment; uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization; be fluent and knowledgeable about massage and body services including pricing; perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application. Massae Therapists will maintain all massage and body treatment rooms in a sanitary condition. Two years of massage experience and a current Texas Massage Therapist license are required. Spa experience is preferred.

Aquatics Manager - Full Time
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for facilitation the daily routines of Aquatics staff and assisting with coordinating supportive services from other departments.  The Aquatics Manager will provide training, development, leadership and guidance for Head Lifeguards, Lifeguards, Pool Attendants and Swim Instructors.  The Aquatics Manager is responsible for ensuring proper staffing is scheduled for daily business needs.  They will coordinate their efforts the SwimFit Coordinator and Aquatics Director to ensure proper staffing levels are provided for all Aquatics related events. In providing leadership for the Youth Swimming programs, they will be accountable for planning, promoting, marketing, administration and executing the Group Swim Lesson programs.  Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, P.E., Exercise Science or a closely related field preferred plus three (3) years directly related aquatics supervisory experience. Current CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor certifications are required. Certified Pool Operator Certification will be required within six-months of hire; 2-years’ experience teaching swimming to all ages; must be experienced in planning, coordinating and executing swim programs. Must be physically able to move and lift items located inside the pool areas weighing up to 50 lbs.

Club Locker Room Attendant (Female & Male) - Full Time
The Locker Room Attendant keeps the locker room clean and supplied with all the necessary amenities. Greet and assist members during their visit to the locker room, report any defects and watch for any unusual activity inside the locker room. The ideal candidate speaks English language fluently, has a positive and friendly attitude and possesses an eye for detail and cleanliness. Customer service and housekeeping experience are preferred. This position requires the ability to move, lift, and/or pull supply boxes and other items located inside the locker room weighing up to 50 lbs.

Housekeeping Pool Attendant - Seasonal & Full Time
The Housekeeping Pool Attendant is responsible for the removal and resupply of terry from pool cabanas. The Pool Attendant also picks up trash from all pool containers and the Gazebo deck. The Pool Attendant maintains the pool restrooms, pool furniture and all outdoor water stations. The Pool Attendant is knowledgeable about safe use of chemicals and can accurately select appropriate chemicals and tools for each task, maintains supplies and keeps all pool restrooms clean, supplies ice water and cups to all outside water stations. Must be physically able to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time. The pool attendant schedules vary according to business needs, able to push, pull and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and frequently manipulate carts that weigh 200 lbs. 

Lifeguard - Seasonal
The Lifeguard’s primary role is to ensure the safety of patrons and coworkers. This will be done by constant surveillance of the pools, recognizing and preventing hazardous behaviors, inspecting pool areas for potential problems and hazards and taking appropriate action. Lifeguard’s secondary duties will include, but are not limited to: maintaining pool chemistry logs, cleaning and maintaining the pool areas, assisting coworkers with set up and tear down of a class area, and greeting and assisting members. This position requires extended hours in an outdoor environment. This position requires the moving of pool furniture, hauling equipment used for classes, and lifting boxes or other items located inside the pool areas weighing up to 50 lb. Lifeguards  are required to have valid Lifeguard, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. The minimum age for this position is 17 years of age.

Grade 2 Stationary Engineer - Full Time
The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking full-time Stationary Engineer Grade 2 to diagnose and provide service and repairs to hotel, club and spa equipment and respond to calls and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.  Diagnose and perform repairs of assigned equipment including but not limited to steam plant, laundry equipment, thermal re-claim system, clothes dryers, ironers, washing machines, water heaters, sinks, plumbing fixtures and associated equipment throughout the entire campus. Maintain proper water chemistry in boilers and softeners, maintain all boilers and steam systems in accordance with state and local code requirements. Respond as required to all emergency conditions such as evacuation, fire, power failure, flood, hurricane etc. Clean all shops and engineering mechanical areas, order and maintain proper inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure a well-organized department. This position requires 5 years field experience maintaining boilers and City of Houston Grade 2 Stationary Engineer License commercial laundry equipment.

Cook I - Full Time
The Cook I is responsible for maintenance, set up, food production and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl and other food items prepared in the kitchen. Must have 3-5 years previous cooking experience in an upper tiered restaurant and/or hotel. The Cook I prepares all foods in accordance to standard recipes. Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items. Checks and controls the proper storage of product and portion control including food rotation. Keeps all refrigeration, storage and working areas in clean working condition to comply with health department and hotel regulations. Must be able to stand and bend for long periods of time, the hours of work varies upon business, must be able to push, pull and lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis.

Manor House Assistant Manager - Full Time
The Manor House Assistant Manager is responsible for checking the house daily for all maintenance and housekeeping issues and contacting responsible parties for maintenance. Other duties include: weekly wine, beer and liquor inventory and purchasing, assisting the manager in quarterly linen, silver, china and glass inventory and purchasing, daily interaction with members and  hotel guests to help build relationships with future clients. The Manor House Assistant Manager will assist the manager in upholding service standards.This Manager should be familiar with both Excel and Word, have superior telephone and customer service skills and general knowledge of wine, spirits and purchasing. The position requires two years’ experience as a Supervisor or Captain in an upscale restaurant or hotel or comparable experience as a leader in a food and beverage operation as well as two years’ experience working banquet events including event set-up and service. The Manor House Assistant Manager must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Youth Program Manager - Full Time
This position requires excellent analytical, writing and communication skills as well as a consistently friendly, flexible and positive attitude.  The person who fills this position should also be passionate about creating state-of-the-art, high quality programs for children of all ages.
Ensure program compliance with state licensing regulations as well as with corporate documentation and reporting requirements, ensure the Safety and Security of each child participating in programs or lessons is to follow as stated in the policies and procedures handbook. This Manager will be continually improving the youth programs and camps throughout the year.
