WATER FITNESS CLASSES

An extensive offering of classes that provide a dynamic exercise program guaranteed to get you in shape by burning calories, toning and strengthening the body. Sample classes include:

Abs-olutely

Aquatic exercises focusing on abdominal and core work. Some equipment used. All levels

Anchored Aquatic Circuit Training

Anchored Aquatic Circuit Training includes cardiovascular intervals with resistance circuit utilization. Build your endurance and increase your muscular strength in this intensifying one-hour aquatic workout in the deep and shallow waters of the Garden Pool. This workout is for all fitness levels and uses various aquatic equipment.

Aqua Power Yoga

Aquatic Yoga stanza and poses focusing on breathe control and balance. All levels

Hydro-Boot Camp

Aquatic deep conditioning. Cardiovascular and endurance workout with no equipment. Advanced level. Must be able to tread water with no equipment.

H.A.R.T.

Hydro-Aerobic-Rigorous-Training. Guaranteed to burn calories and get your heart rate up. Rigorous deep water training with equipment. All levels

Hydro Kal

Aquatic calorie burning, calisthenics exercises in the deep end with equipment. All levels

Hydro Power Interval Training (EMI )

Easy, Moderate, and Intensity cardiovascular training for the well-conditioned athlete in deep-water with equipment. Advanced level

Liquid Mind & Body Workout

A total relaxation session incorporating Ai-Chi, Yoga and Watsu. Some equipment used for all levels. Must be prepared to get hair wet and be in supine condition.

Poolates

Aquatic Pilates exercises in shallow end of pool focusing on core conditioning and strengthening with equipment. All levels

Poolates/Yoga

Aquatics exercises incorporating Pilates and yoga exercises in the pool.


SWIMFIT PROGRAMS

From beginner lessons to competitive swimming, programs offer conditioning, stroke technique and fun challenges for every age and skill level. Great for those interested in Master’s Competitive Swimming, Triathlons or fitness swimming.

Adult Beginner Swim Class (April-September)

Learn basic stroke techniques, breathing and proper balance for lap swimming.


OTHER PROGRAMS

Video Swim Clinics

Stroke analysis filming above and below water from several angles to give swimmers visual and verbal feedback on their stroke technique along with tips for improvement. Seasonal workshops.

Private and Group Swimming Lessons

All ages and skill levels. Learn technique and strategy from the top coaches in the area.


Youth Aquatics Programs

Aquatots I

These lessons focus on water safety and basic water skills-entering and exiting pool, getting face wet, blowing bubbles and kicking. Ages 12 - 23 months

AQUATOTS II

These lessons focus on w ater safety, basic water skills-jumping in pool, blowing bubbles, floating, arm and leg movements. Ages 24 - 36 months

STAR FISH AND SEA HORSES

Star Fish

For the more timid child. Skills include putting face in water, blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, beginning arm strokes and water safety. Ages 3-4

Sea Horses

For the more advanced child. Skills include floating, arm strokes, kicking, coordination of arms and legs, beginning backstroke and water safety. Ages 3-4

SEA LIONS

These lessons focus on floating, arm strokes, lateral breathing, frog kick, backstroke and beginning dives. Ages 5-6
